Richard Brickley MBE - SDS and Sportfocus Working Together

Sportfocus has been a partner to Scottish Disability Sport for many years and during that time SDS has built a close working relationship with key sportfocus staff.  The third refresh of the SDS site has just been completed to the immense satisfaction of SDS officers and members.

Throughout the period of the partnership, sportfocus has consistently and skilfully moved with the times. In an industry that is always changing and where competition is fierce, sportfocus has remained an industry leader. Key staff have always been sympathetic to the unique needs of SDS as a Governing Body of Sport serving a very specific population of sports people. SDS has always found sportsfocus staff willing to listen, able to adapt and forward thinking.

Sportfocus now offers a range of services appropriate to the needs of Governing Bodies of Sport.

Within the staff team there is considerable expertise and SDS found the process of moving from “initial ideas” to “end product” painless, because of the support and encouragement from the sportocus team. SDS now has a site that was envisaged and created in-house but developed because of the skills and abilities offered by the sportfocus team.  Site maintenance and information update were tasks we have undertaken in the past on our own but these now are offered as part of the partnership.

For a Governing Body like SDS whose resources are stretched to the limit, quality immediate back up from its partner agency are invaluable.

SDS now has a new web site which is vibrant, modern and meets the needs of an ambitious and forward thinking National Governing Body of Sport.  Sportfocus enabled our vision of the new site to become a reality and will continue to work with SDS to ensure that it communicates our messages in a way that is interesting, appropriate and effective.

The whole experience of this refresh has been positive.  Successful partnerships are based on trust and cooperation this is one where the client is more than happy to acknowledge the provider as key to the success of the end product.
